Challenge
The old encoder- and contactor-based control system failed frequently and spare parts were unavailable.
Our Solution
The line was reprogrammed from scratch with servo feeding, a new PLC and HMI; a remote access modem was added.
Result
Downtime was reduced by 75% and accuracy improved to ±0.5 mm.
Conversion of an old hydraulically controlled cut-to-length line to servo feeding. Within the scope of the project, site survey, electrical design, software development, installation supervision and commissioning were carried out by our company on a turnkey basis.
After commissioning, the plant personnel were trained and all documentation and backups were handed over.
